The Problem
Personal finance apps have a design flaw.
They all look backward.
For decades, personal finance software has been built around a single question: where did your money go? Apps categorize your transactions, chart last month’s spending, and grade you against a budget you set weeks ago. It’s useful, but it’s the wrong question.
A GPS doesn’t show you a map of where you’ve already driven. It shows you the road ahead — and when conditions change, it reroutes you before you hit the detour. Your finances work the same way. What matters most isn’t what happened last month. It’s what’s coming next month, and whether you’ll be ready for it.
aiSmartBudget was built on a different premise: show people the road ahead. Project their balance 30 days into the future. Detect problems before they become overdrafts. Flag spending anomalies before they derail a goal. Coach toward a destination — not just account for the distance already traveled.
Why We Built This
I spent 20 years selling forward-looking cash flow tools to CFOs and Treasurers. Then I tried every personal finance app on the market and found that not one offered a forward-looking view for everyday households. So I built one.
aiSmartBudget was founded in Bend, Oregon with a simple conviction: the predictive financial tools that executives rely on to run companies shouldn’t require a financial advisor, a spreadsheet degree, or an enterprise software budget. Every household deserves the same visibility. So we built it.
